| A: | Your Samson's Classroom subscription provides access to Sight Words with Samson and Spelling with Samson. You also get access to new programs like Reading with Samson as soon as they are developed. Check out the About page to learn more about each product. |
| Q: | If I purchase a subscription to Samson's Classroom, will my credit card be charged again when my subscription expires? |
| A: | No. We DO NOT automatically renew subscriptions. |
| Q: | What if I want to renew my Samson's Classroom subscription? |
| A: | Just click on the "Manage Subscription" link located on My Page and follow the instructions on the screen. |
| Q: | Can I purchase Samson's Classroom without using a credit card? |
| A: | You can also pay by check or money order. Contact us and an account representative will process your order. |
| Q: | What are the system requirements for Samson's Classroom? |
| A: | Samson's Classroom and associated programs can be used on any computer (PC or Mac) with an Internet connection. |
| Q: | How long does a subscription to Samson's Classroom last? |
| A: | Each Samson's Classroom subscription lasts for one year from the activation date. |

| Q: | If I sign up for a classroom account, can my students use it at home? |
| A: | Yes, both you and your students will have unlimited access to the product from any computer with an Internet connection. |
| Q: | What if I want to sign up for Samson's Classroom in the middle of the school year? |
| A: | The usernames in your account are fully transferable. If your subscription carries over into a new school year you can simply assign the usernames to your new students. |
| Q: | I would like to purchase more than one classroom account. Do I have to purchase each one individually or can I buy multiple accounts? |

| Q: | What are sight words? |
| A: | Sight words are the most commonly used words in the English language (i.e. the, it, and). Over 50% of standard, non-scientific text is comprised of these 224 words. Mastering the recognition, pronunciation and spelling of these words is essential for young students learning to read. Click here to see a list of words covered by Sight Words with Samson |
| Q: | What grade levels are Sight Words with Samson designed for? |
| A: | This product was designed for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Many of our member schools also use it effectively in their pre-k classrooms as well as their remedial reading programs. |
| Q: | Is there a single word list for students or are the words divided into units? |
| A: | The words used in Sight Words with Samson are divided into four levels based on difficulty. Each level consists of seven word groups with eight words in each group. The difficulty of individual Sight Words is subjective but in general the easiest words are in Level 1 and they get more challenging as you go through each level. |
| Q: | What is the best way to use Sight Words with Samson? |
| A: | There is no wrong way to use Sight Words with Samson but to get the most out of the product we recommend that students follow our patented five step learning process for each word list. Start with List 1 and attempt to master all 28 lists. You should also take advantage of the various tools available in the Resource Center (worksheets, flashcards, lesson plans). |
| Q: | Most of the documents in the Resource Center are in PDF format. How do I open PDF files? |
| A: | The only thing you need to read and print PDF files is Adobe Reader. If you have it on your computer already, all you have to do is click on the link for the desired file and the file will open in a new window. If you do not have it on your computer, you can download it for free by clicking here. |

| Q: | How many words are included in Spelling with Samson? |
| A: | There are currently more than 5,000 spelling words built into the system. Plus, we add new words every week. |
| Q: | What if I would like to use a spelling word that is not included in Spelling with Samson? |
| A: | Simply use the word request form to let us know the word or words you would like to add and they will be added to the system within a week or two. |
| Q: | How are the words organized in Spelling with Samson? |
| A: | The teacher interface allows you to organize the words however you want. If you have existing spelling lists that you already use, you can customize Spelling with Samson to use those same lists. |

| Q: | How many passages are available in Reading with Samson? |
| A: | There are currently more than 100 passages available and our content creation team is always adding new material to the system. |
| Q: | I add my own content to the Reading with Samson interface? |
| A: | At this time we do not have a user interface for adding content to the system but we would be more than happy to add your content for you. Just send an email to [email protected] and we will give you all the details. |
| Q: | What types of question are included with each passage? |
| A: | Reading with Samson contains a large number of question types including main idea, inference, sequencing, supporting data, logical reasoning, mirroring and predicting. |
| Q: | Are the passages divided by grade level? |
| A: | No. The passages are divided into four levels which are not assigned to specific grades. |
| Q: | Do students have to complete the passages in a specific order? |
| A: | No. Students may complete the passages in any order but the tracking and monitoring tools available to parents and teachers make it easy to see what they are working on and provide guidance and instruction on what passages are best suited to their needs. |
| Q: | How many times can a student complete a passage? |
| A: | Once a student completes a passage it is locked to prevent previous results from being overwritten. This locking can be reset by a parent or teacher if you would like the student to attempt the passage a second time. |
